The JFS PTA is an organization of volunteers comprised of parents, teachers and citizens who care about our children. The goals
of OUR PTA are basically twofold. One goal is to ensure our children get an outstanding education and the other goal is to provide a
safe, caring and nurturing environment in which to learn and play.
Annual Walk-A-Thon and Carnival The Jimmy's Birthday Walk-A-Thon and Carnival
is fast approaching. We will be taking pre-orders for t-shirts in the next week or two and the kick-off assembly will be right after spring break. Look
for the files posted here that will help with fundraising advice and details on prizes and the carnival. As in previous years, the carnival is sure to
entertain you!
Under the Tuscan Moon The Under the Tuscan Moon dinner
auction was a great time! It was a beautiful evening on Friday, February 6th at 6:30 at The Ranch Golf Club where we had a fabulous dinner and raised $24,000

receipts to the back. Give to a PTA officer or leave in the Treasurers folder in the PTA drawer in the office. Checks are generally cut
at the following PTA meeting on the third Tuesday of the month.

Girls on the Run is here! Girls on the Run is a national program that is dedicated to the emotional and physical well being of girls. We are excited to be able to offer this fun after school activity to the 3rd-6th grade girls at JF Smith. The JFS Girls on the Run program, started 3/2/09, is being coached this year by Tina Walsworth, Deb Murphy, Leola Edmond and Noha Rajab. They will combine training activities for a 5k run/walk event with curriculum that promotes good choices for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living.
