The JFS PTA is an organization of volunteers comprised of parents, teachers and citizens who care about our children. The goals of OUR PTA are basically twofold. One goal is to ensure our children get an outstanding education and the other goal is to provide a safe, caring and nurturing environment in which to learn and play.

Under the Tuscan Moon dinner/auction was a success! The beautiful evening did not disappoint at
The Ranch Golf Club where we had a fabulous dinner and raised much
needed funds for our school. The final amount is still being tallied but we expect it to be close to
$25,000 that will go directly to the school. Thanks to all the attendees, donors, and sponsors for coming together on this

"Girls on the Run" is SO much FUN!
Every aspect of this national program is geared toward helping
girls feel good about who they are physically, emotionally and socially. The girls will train for
a 5k run/walk event with uplifting, self-esteem enhancing workouts, running games and focused
discussion. The program is non-competitive and the innovative curriculum is designed to change a
girl's budding notion that how she looks is more important that who she is. The girls will also
design and complete a community service project as part of the program. For more information, visit

Computers Purchased!! Because we raised our goal of $25,000 in fund raising at the Walk-a-thon
we purchased 25 computers at the end of the 2008-2009 school year! These computers bring us closer to our goal
of five laptops per class for ALL the lower grade classrooms.

receipts to the back. Give to a PTA officer or leave in the Treasurers folder in the PTA drawer in the office. Checks are generally cut
at the following PTA meeting on the third Tuesday of the month.
