The JFS PTA is an organization of volunteers comprised of parents, teachers and citizens who care about our children. The goals of OUR PTA are basically twofold. One goal is to ensure our children get an outstanding education and the other goal is to provide a safe, caring and nurturing environment in which to learn and play.

Bringing the joy of the theater to our school is one of our PTA’s missions. We are very
excited to bring in Starting Arts Theater Company to run this wonderful drama program
that culminates in three very professional live shows after 12 weeks of rehearsals. See

Under the Tuscan Moon 2010 The
Under the Tuscan Moon dinner/auction was a success! The beautiful evening did not disappoint at
The Ranch Golf Club where we had a fabulous dinner and raised much
needed funds for our school. The final amount is still being tallied but we expect it to be close to
$25,000 that will go directly to the school. Thanks to all the attendees, donors, and sponsors for coming together on this

Computers Purchased!! Because we raised our goal of $25,000 in fund raising at the Walk-a-thon
we purchased the greater part of 30 computers at the end of the 2009-2010 school year! This is an entire laptop cart that can be checked out by any of the classrooms. It will replace a laptop cart that is five years old and those old computers will be distributed to classrooms. This brings us closer to our goal
of five laptops per class for ALL the lower grade classrooms.

receipts to the back. Give to a PTA officer or leave in the Treasurers folder in the PTA drawer in the office. Checks are generally cut
at the following PTA meeting on the third Tuesday of the month.
